We woke up nice and early this morning, so decided to treat ourselves to breakfast at Milk Cafe down in Balham.
We arrived at just the right time, because a long queue formed behind us, which is always a giveaway that you've come to a good place.
I had pumpkin bread topped with walnut cream and cacao nibs, while Tom had the Young Betty which was basically eggs royale with salmon.
We then caught the Overground down to Peckham Rye so that we could check out the newly opened Peckham Levels.
There was an amazing rainbow staircase as we made our way up.
I thought to myself that this must be what it looks like to be inside Jenny's handbag.
Although windows and walls had been added, you could definitely tell you were still in a carpark with the ramps, arrows and parking lines still painted on the ground.
There were lots of awesome little bars and restaurants with street food vendors to try out inside.
We ended up in Wildflower where I ordered a Bloody Mary.
We went for lunch at Forza Win afterwards, an awesome little Italian restaurant in a pretty warehouse.
After our taking our seat, they brought us a tasty bowl of roasted chickpeas to snack on while we browsed the menu.
I ordered a White Negroni to drink with gin, lillet and suze. Tom got drink envy and ended up sipping about half of it.
We ordered a selection of small dishes to share, starting with garlic toast topped with anchovies. They were tasty but a bit expensive, considering you only got one anchovy each.
We then had a super tasty bowl of spaghetti with garlic, black truffle, mushrooms and parmesan.
We also shared some rosemary roasted potatoes.
We shared a blood orange chocolate pot for dessert and drank some digestivos.
