We had just enough time to grab a quick snack before our movie, so we headed to Ichibuns.
I loved their Japanese decor, especially the ceiling which was covered in characters.
We shared some vegetable gyoza and ordered some Japanese tacos.
Though tasty, the tacos were nothing more than unrolled sushi.
I'm usually the one convincing Tom to try new cuisines, but after the movie he suggested dinner at Babaji where I could try pide.
Faheem had taken Tom here for lunch when they worked together, so I let him do all the ordering while I sipped on raspberry iced tea.
We had caramelised onion & walnut pide, baked halloumi and borek which were filo pastries filled with cheese.
We then had some Raki, an aniseed flavoured alcohol which turns white when mixed with water. It's called "Lion's Milk"
We shared some pistachio baklava for dessert.
