Luckily Mamuska was close by at Elephant & Castle and the lure of Polish dumplings and hot cups of borscht was just too tempting.
I started with a mug of Barszcz, or borscht as my Russian Grandad would call it, and a shot of spiced Żołądkowa Gorzka vodka. It was the perfect combination to warm me up after the cold walk in the snow.
We then shared three types of dumplings. The goat cheese & spinach, the Kapusta I Grzyby with sauerkraut and mushroom and the Ruskie with white cheese, potato and onion. The Ruskie were my favourite!
