We were wandering around the streets when it suddenly got very busy with people. We followed the crowds where we spotted the Queen, who was in town to open the new botanical gardens.
We then walked through the center and past the colleges.
Afterwards we went down to the canal where there were lots of punters. I wanted to rent a boat but Tom was sure he'd fall in if he tried to punt.
The ducks were enjoying the sun too.
Our second stop was Ely which was very picturesque with horses, flowers and a huge cathedral.
We then stopped off in Ipswich but, after a short walk down from the station, we decided it wasn't for us and jumped back on the train.
Our final stop of the day was Brentwood. We've been watching The Only Way is Essex so we were curious to see what Essex was like and everyone actually was orange!
We then headed home to wait for my parents to arrive.
