Today we went off to explore East London. We started off at the Pogo Cafe, which had been recommended to me by Amy Naumann.
I had pizza cake which looked exactly like a cake but tasted like tomato and cheese pizza, while Tom had a Mexican hot chocolate and chilli cupcake. They were nice but I wouldn't go back as the staff were a little too opinionated not liking that my necklace was made from, not liking that we'd moved to London from "beautiful Fife", not liking that we worked behind computers and not liking that we had jobs at all.
We then went for a snoop around the Museum of Childhood which is in an amazing building at Bethnal Green.
It was fun spotting all the old toys we use to have.
Tom found a robot that you could wind up and complete a cog puzzle to make light up.
I loved the rainbow necklaces in the shop but, as always, I'm going to try and make one first.
We then caught the tube up to Stonebridge Park. Tom's reading Getting Things Done so I've been reading the Power Of Less. My to-do list bookmarks have been coming in very handy!
Our final stop of the day was the Ace Bar Diner. A biker bar where you can sit and watch bikers doing stunts.
After sneaking past the wolf whistling bikers outside we had milkshakes and onion rings inside.
There was a little girl, who looked like the one from True Grit all dressed up in bike leathers and a helmet. I hope she wasn't doing any stunts.
