Merry Christmas. We were hosting Christmas again this year, so we had a very full house with my Mum, Dad, Nana, Grandma and kitty cat, Dime!
We woke up to stockings stuffed with goodies and mine was filled with sweets, cat goodies and saffron (from my Dad making an Apprentice joke).
It was then time to get on to give everyone their presents and I had no idea what anyone was going to get me.
Tom got me the LEGO Arkham Asylum which looks amazing, a gingerbread necklace from Tatty Devine, London Gin truffles, a Harley Quinn comic and a huge bag of pecan coffee like we used to drink in Omaha. I gave him a Moto 360 smart watch, LEGO F1 truck, Amazon Fire TV and a homemade tweed washbag filled with goodies.
Mum & Dad got us a table top grill which will be amazing for making okonomiyaki and other Japanese meals, a glass bell jar and money to buy clothes with cats on in the sales. We gave them tickets for a trip to Iceland in the new year with us and lots of little small things including a book of Preraphalite Cat paintings that Mum had spotted in Manchester.
We got some great presents from the Secret Santa sponsors too including a reindeer onesie, LHR cushion, soaps and other treats.
Tom and I were put in charge of cooking Christmas dinner again and everyone had requested the same menu as last year.
We made ravioli filled with sweet potato, Wensleydale and hazelnuts to start.
We then had salmon en croute with mustard and dill which Tom topped with cute shapes and spray painted gold with our Eslack foodspray.
We left dessert to Heston and tried his amazing Christmas pudding meets Christmas cake meets chocolate cake combination which fit perfectly in my new bell jar.
