We woke up in Vancouver this morning and my Uncle Bruce took us on a tour of the city. We started of at Granville Island which had a lovely view of the city. Granville Island Public Market Vancouver - Inkary Arts Vancouver, British Columbia, CA We grabbed lunch in the market which was so colourful that it looked like a film set. I had a tasty roll, which looked like a sausage roll but was stuffed with yam, flax and coconut rice. We then had a look around some of the interesting shops and artist studios. We then headed downtown. Vancouver is used as the set for lots of TV show and films so we kept recognising locations. The Templeton Restaurant Vancouver, British Columbia, CA We grabbed a milkshake at The Templeton after reading it was the best place. The shake was okay but our waitress was scary. Vancouver Art Gallery Vancouver, British Columbia, CA We had a walk around the city and saw the protestors for Occupy Vancouver. We then went to the Gas Town where they have a clock powered by steam. Chill Winston Vancouver, British Columbia, CA We sat out in the sunshine at Chill Winston while watching the tourists pass by and take photos. We tried the beer sampler and discovered that Bruce has the complete opposite taste in beer from me. We then went for a walk along the shore. Tom was excited to see the Pacific ocean for the first time. Tamarind Hill Malaysian Cuisine Vancouver, British Columbia, CA In the evening we went for dinner at Tamarind Hill, a Malaysian Restaurant. I had a mango colada. I can't remember the name of my dinner but it was rice noodles in a thick sauce covered in all kinds of seafood. « British Columbia 2011-10-17 » Japadog 2011-10-19 Tweet Comments
