We met up with Laura and Kenny for dinner tonight, to catch up after our Japan trip and give them some presents.
We went to Salt Cafe, which had opened a couple of days earlier. I had a beetroot salad while Tom had some mackerel and we shared a side of squid. It was really tasty and I'm excited to see how the restaurant gets on - especially as it's so close to our place.
We decided to give Salt Cafe another shot this morning and go for brunch. I had the muesli and apart from being served with a fork instead of a spoon, it was delicious!
Tom had salmon and eggs which he really liked too. They've put their prices up quite a bit since they opened a week ago, but if they keep improving their menu and service, it'll probably be worth the cost.
We decided to revive our LEGO Tuesday tradition and got the double decker sofa set from the LEGO movie.
We thought it would be fun to build our set at Salt Cafe with drinks and nibbles which seemed like a good idea until we realised hipster tables made from driftwood have a lot of brick sized holes in them.
