I thought we'd spend today recovering from all the fun we had over our birthdays but Tom told me we were going on a mystery road trip. We jumped in the car and after half an hour of driving, we ended up at the Nebraska Safari Park.

We got to stroke a snake in the visitor centre and this was Tom's first time.

The first animals we saw on the safari were the elks.

We had to drive carefully as the animals kept crossing the road.

We then drove through the woods and saw the deer, who were adorable.

We then walked a trail to find the wolves and the bears.

We spotted some lovely owls hidden in the trees.

We didn't spot any bears or wolves though.

There was a lake with pelicans in the middle.

We then went to see the eagles.

We then went crane spotting.

The final part of the safari was the bison, who were all huddled up in a herd near the exit.

The geese tried to stop us from leaving.
