Today was Louise’s Mad Hatter’s tea party in Queen’s Park. The first of many events stretching over a week for her birthday.

I wore a fascinator that I made in hat making class and Tom wore his sailor hat. Can you spot the person who forgot to wear a hat or animal ears?!

There was no actual tea but lots and lots of food. I brought whoopie pies, which everyone liked.

Lynsey got back to London today so we headed up to Queens Park to meet her and Louise for some late drinks in the sun.

We've spent every day of the bank holiday in the park and today was no different. We met Louise and Caroline for lunch in Queens Park.

We played cards, while trying to remember all the games we use to play in the Common Room at high school and Caroline brought awesome Easter cakes which she'd made.

In the afternoon Tom and I went rollerskating around Queen's Park, managing to do a lap each without falling over.

We went skating around the park again today. All the memories of ice skating started coming back to me and I started to feel I was getting the hang of it again.
