We were still feeling adventurous and not quite ready to go home, so we decided to go for an early dinner at Frontier, an American-style diner which has opened on Gillespie Place that Laura told us about.

I had big hopes for fried pickles, veggie burgers and all the things I miss from America but the menu was a little light on vegetarian options, though they did serve a veggie hot dog which wasn't listed.

The decor was more like a Mexican cantina than a diner but they staff were super friendly and served us a mug of corn chips when we sat down and some peanut butter & jelly fudge with our bill, which felt like authentic American touches.

Tom tried the hot dog while I settled for some sweet potato fries and a salted caramel & pretzel milkshake. Though we probably won't go back for dinner anytime soon (as it's a little too meat heavy), I could be tempted by breakfast as their cotton candy pancakes sound delicious!
